Ros Poulos is Associate Professor in Public Health in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of New South Wales, Australia. As a public health physician her expertise lies in the area of population health, and her interests have focussed on interventions which can improve the public’s health. Her research has spanned the areas of aged care, injury prevention, health protection and promotion, public health policy, and the translation of research into policy and practice.
Her current research activities include the role of participatory arts in health and well-being for older people, the development and dissemination of reablement guidelines for the aged care sector, and injury and falls prevention in older adults.
She teaches a number of public health postgraduate courses and supervises higher degree research candidates (PhD and Master by research).
